Sunrise Crossing Lane Construction Update
The road and utilities are now in place at Sunrise Crossing Lane, and Habitat for Humanity has moved its construction unit onto the site. The next phase of the project is officially underway.
This year, three homes will be built. To make the most efficient use of excavators, concrete crews, and construction teams, the homes will be built in tandem, allowing work to progress across all three sites together.
The foundations are currently underway, with each at a different stage of hardening before construction can move forward. If everything stays on schedule, vertical construction is expected to begin in approximately two weeks.
It’s exciting to see Sunrise Crossing Lane moving from infrastructure and site preparation into the actual construction of these three new homes.

Many residents have asked about how they can help with the building. The answer is YES!
Habitat has a volunteer signup system on its website. The process is simple: create an account (essentially registering as a volunteer), indicate the type of work you’d like to help with, and note any skills or experience you have. Don’t worry if you’re a novice—everyone is welcome!
Once you’re signed up, Habitat will notify you when that type of work is being done at the Underhill site.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to help and be part of this effort!
